“Utah Printing Company Keeps Hope Alive For Local Spelling Bee”

LINDON, Utah – Young kids can keep their dreams of being in the spotlight alive once again thanks to Alexander’s print company. Alexander’s will be the primary sponsor of the Utah Valley Spelling Bee again this year, after stepping up in 2013 to keep it afloat.

“It is a privilege to be part of this event again,” said Pete Codella, VP of Marketing and Public Relations at Alexander’s, “we love seeing the community come together to create an uplifting and rewarding experience for the children here.”

Last year, funding was cut short on the event because some sponsors had to retract on their donations. Alexander’s picked up the sponsorship to keep the Spelling Bee going.

“We’re really thankful for all those who have helped keep this tradition alive,” said Joel Cunningham, head of PR for the Utah Valley Spelling Bee, “it’s great to see how the kids light up when they see they can excel at something. That’s why we do what we do.”

This year the organization is ready and is expecting students from nearly 50 schools to participate.

Alexander’s is joined by Cedar Fort Publishing as well as Utah Valley University as sponsors for the event. Funding will go to sending the winner along with a parent to the 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May 2014.
